Arvada Popup-Event Recap
On Saturday 1/20/24 I attended the Pop-Up Book Sale at the Arvada Community Room in Arvada, CO. It was a fairly quiet event, with limited foot traffic. A lot of this was due to cold temperatures, which kept people from wanting to walk through scenic downtown Arvada.
Despite the limited foot traffic, it was a good event for me. I had a few vendors come by and buy books, which is always welcome. I was sold out of quite a bit from my previous con, and my replacement inventory hadn’t yet arrived. I probably could have sold a couple more books if I’d had them on the shelf.
All things considered, it was a profitable event and a con is a pretty good way to spend a Saturday. I’m glad I went.
Up next is Tulsa Pop Con in two weeks. That’s the first out-of-state con I’ll have done since I went to LubbockCon in Texas in 2020, right before the world shut down due to the pandemic.
