The technician has recurred more than any other supporting character in this webcomic. For those of my readers who don’t bother with MTV (and really, why should you? It’s a crappy channel), Punk’d is to the current generation what Candid Camera was to our parents. It’s hosted by Ashton Kutcher, who is married (I think) to Demi Moore. A more improbable relationship does not exist in Hollywood. Maybe the world.
Sandstorm is having some serious self-doubts, as many characters in comic books do.
Whenever the X-Men’s Nightcrawler teleports, he vanishes in a blast of smoke and flame with the sound effect “Bamf!” Among many comic and gaming fans, this onomotopaeia has become synonymous with the verb “to teleport”. Example: I bamfed in and he had already started the device, so I grabbed the girl and bamfed away again before it went off.
“Do you want to do a shot with me?” “Yah yah yah!” are lines from an esoteric song called No I Don’t Wanna Do Dat by the Happy Schnapps Combo. The lyrics are:
Do you wanna wash da dishes?
Don’t wanna-wanna do dat!
Do you wanna make da bed?
Don’t wanna-wanna do dat!
Do you wanna swallow poison?
Don’t wanna-wanna do dat!
Do you wanna do a shot with me?

And at last I have found a production method that looks good. What am I doing? Nothing…just a flash and some occasional cleanup. The comic has never looked better.
