If there’s a more fitting way to celebrate three-quarters of a thousand strips than Sandstorm burying Dan Quayle up to his nose in sand, I don’t know what it is.

If there’s a more fitting way to celebrate three-quarters of a thousand strips than Sandstorm burying Dan Quayle up to his nose in sand, I don’t know what it is.
Quayle’s long speech in the second panel is almost an exact word-for-word copy of a speech he made about a popular fictional TV character named Murphy Brown. And another extra “E” word pops up in the last panel too.
Politicians always ask loaded questions when they’re trying to make a point.
Quayle’s shooting blanks, though.
