“I just wanna be loved, is that so wrong?” was a tagline made famous by comedian Jon Lovitz in an ongoing Saturday Night Live routine back in the, uh, early ’90s.
I originally made a fake April Fool’s strip purporting to be a letter from the LEGO Group ordering me to cease and desist. It wasn’t received well by most fans, so I quickly showed the real strip.

The Tyrannical T-Men are wearing custom costumes modeled after the original X-Men costumes. I made these by printing on sticker paper and then cutting them with an exacto knife. To ensure they wouldn’t smudge or smear, I then put clear nail polish on them, which gives them a nice sheen similar to standard LEGO plastic. Observant readers may also see a slight redesign to Tyrant’s wheelchair, allowing him to sit up just a little higher and have a wider range of motion with his arms.
