Michael Bay directed The Rock, Armageddon, Transformers, and other travesties. Good beer-and-popcorn movies if you like rapid jumpcuts and stuff blowing up, but certainly nothing which could be construed as quality cinema. If he ever wins an award for directing, I suspect the Universe will implode.
