I stole the “you were struck by lightning” line from the otherwise eminently forgettable movie Men at Work, “starring” Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen. The setup there is that the two bad guys are walking along. One has a pistol and the other has a taser. The guy with the pistol starts teasing the guy with the taser who finally gets fed up, says “that’s it, you’re done,” and zaps his buddy. A few minutes later the other guy wakes up, looks around woozily, and asks what the hell just happened, to which his friend replies, “you know, it’s funny. You were struck by lightning.”
I had a request last year to include a LEGO horse in the strip. It took me almost a year to get there, but I managed it. Sadly, I don’t think the requester is in the blogosphere any longer so she likely doesn’t know. Anyway, PhoenixHearse, I didn’t forget!
And yes, women faint when he changes to a horse. More on this coming next week.
Ever had a kolache? It’s a sweet bread wrapped around a sausage. They’re awesome.
I don’t know what Charlie’s nickname for Sandstorm is, but I’ll bet it’s pretty raunchy.
I’ve been waiting a long time for the chance to bring a couple of new characters into the fold. Whether or not they stay as members remains to be seen – the S-Team is already pretty unwieldy and large. But at the moment, the comic potential for these two far outstrips the hassle of squeezing ever more characters into a single panel.
If you think Scarlet Swordsmistress sounds like a teenage cheerleader, you’re absolutely right.
Anyone who’s ever had their resume posted online has undoubtedly received emails from the people offering “unique business opportunities”, which are essentially pyramid schemes. I’d name names, but then they’d send their shock troops out after me.
