I achieved the look of this setting by photographing Charlie against a sheet of typing paper and then playing with the brightness and contrast levels in the GIMP.

DC Comics had an obscure character called Ambush Bug, whose main power seemed to be that he was really annoying. He could also teleport, and when he did there was a “FLUSH!” sound effect.
