I felt that after the big boob jokes around strip #100, it was high time for some poking fun at the boys. Hence, we’ll be seeing some more bald jokes this week.
Stretch’s head comes from a Han Solo figure. I really like the smirk, because it’s so fitting for the character when he delivers a zinger like this one.
It’s very rare for Science Guy to lose his composure. But apparently it’s not impossible, either.
I experimented with “icicles” hanging from Sandstorm’s dialog to help convey the frosty tone I hear in my head when reading her words, but in practice I couldn’t get them to look good, so I nixed the idea.
Sometimes it just feels better to tell a white lie than the cold, hard truth. Science Guy knows this.
For some reason, this bit strikes me as very funny – like something that would be performed by Monty Python or The Kids in the Hall.
Once it is established that something is robotic, often times people talk about it like it isn’t self-aware.
