One of the great hazards of super-powers is the problem of mistaken identities, which leads to a lot of rooftop fights and ending of romantic relationships. It can also get you killed. See, kids? Death’s funny! Hahaha!
It’s not all fun and games as a super villain. Sometimes you have your own personal responsibilities as well. And nobody ever really comments in the comics about how uncomfortable some of those costumes have to be.
Are you worried about the threat of visible panty lines? Maybe you aren’t, but then you’ve probably never had to wear a superhero costume either. Nobody but me seems to think about these little things.

I think it’s far more interesting when the villain takes an active role in trying to take down his arch-enemy, as opposed to letting henchmen and off-the-cuff plans try to do it instead.
